Hi, I’m Ken Dosemagen

Technology has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I became interested in computers and technology when I was a kid, and that curiosity eventually grew into a passion for building things of my own. For more than five years, I’ve been developing websites and working on personal technology projects, constantly learning new tools and finding better ways to turn ideas into something real. I also work professionally as an IT Support Specialist, where I’ve had the opportunity to expand my technical experience and contribute to internal projects.

I started Web Vortex LLC because I wanted to take something I genuinely enjoy and use it to help other people. There’s something incredibly satisfying about starting with an idea, building it from the ground up, and finally seeing everything come together and just work. I enjoy the design process and the technical challenges that come with development, but what makes the work meaningful to me is being able to use those skills to help another business grow.

Why Small Businesses Matter to Me

My connection to small business is also personal. When I was younger, my mother owned her own business. At the time, I didn’t have the knowledge or skills that I have today, but looking back, I wish I could have helped her with the same things I can now provide to other business owners.

That’s one of the reasons I’m passionate about helping small and local businesses establish themselves online. Whether you’re starting a business and need your first website, have an existing site that’s showing its age, or want a better online presence that can turn more visitors into customers, I want to help create something that actually benefits your business.

Technology Should Serve Your Business

I believe technology should solve problems—not create new ones. It’s easy for businesses to be pushed toward complicated platforms, expensive services, or new technologies simply because they’re the latest thing. I take a different approach. I want to understand what your business actually needs today while still building with tomorrow in mind.

Depending on the project, that might mean WordPress, a custom-built website using modern technologies like Next.js and React, improved hosting and website management, or newer tools involving automation and AI. The technology itself isn’t the goal. The goal is choosing the right tools to create something reliable, fast, professional, and useful for your business.

Web Vortex is built around the values I would want if I were hiring someone for my own business: honest communication, fair pricing, quality work, personal service, and solutions that make sense. I want to provide the flexibility and attention of working directly with someone who cares about the project, without making professional web development feel inaccessible to a small business.

Outside of Web Vortex, I’m a father, a car enthusiast, a lifelong technology enthusiast, and someone who genuinely enjoys figuring out how things work. Whether I’m working on a car, experimenting with a new technology, or building a website from a blank screen, I’ve always enjoyed the process of taking something apart, understanding it, and creating something better.
